CASEY BARNES SHARES FIFTH STUDIO ALBUM – “MAYDAY”
Forget the distress call; this Mayday is all about cranking up the volume and diving into Casey Barnes highly anticipated fifth studio album! Set to hit the airwaves on May 31st, this ten-track powerhouse couldn’t arrive at a better time, riding the wave of country music’s global resurgence.
2024 is shaping up to be Barnes banner year, with electrifying performances at CMC Rocks and the iconic Stagecoach festival in the US already under his belt. And if that’s not enough to get you buzzing, how about a slew of chart-topping singles? Tracks like “Mayday,” “Miracles,” “Never Give Up On A Good Time,” “Boys Like Me,” and “Summer Nights” have all claimed the coveted #1 spot on the CountryTown Radio Airplay Charts, cementing Barnes status as a country music heavyweight. Not to mention, “Summer Nights” also clinching the APRA Award for Most Performed Country Work this year!
Behind the scenes, Barnes has assembled a dream team, with Melbourne-based production duo MSquared and acclaimed producer Andrew Maury at the helm. Plus, he’s collaborated with an all-star line-up of songwriters, including Morgan Evans, Danielle Blakey, Eric Paslay, and more, ensuring that each track is a journey in itself.
Reflecting on the album, Barnes shares, “I’ve poured my heart and soul into this record, and I couldn’t be prouder of the result. It’s a love letter to my fans, who have been my biggest supporters throughout this journey.”
Mayday is a rollercoaster of emotions, packed with anthemic highs and soul-stirring ballads. From belting choruses to heartstring-tugging lyrics, each track is a testament to Barnes artistry. And if you’re in need of a pick-me-up, look no further than “Ain’t No Better Buddy Than A Beer” – cheers to that!

Live from Gympie Muster 2024
RELEASE DATE: MONDAY SEPTEMBER 30 2024
Solid Rock, released by Goanna in 1982 highlighting the injustices Indigenous Australians face over land rights. The song has since been an Australian anthem in the hearts of many. A belt-out sing-a-long in the car, at a BBQ and especially at a music festival.
Recorded live at Gympie Muster this August, Casey Barnes and his extended live band blew thousands of fans away with their performance of the national classic. A moment that needed to be shared with the world.
The idea began only a few weeks earlier at the Mundi Mundi Bash where Casey had the opportunity to connect with Goanna’s front man and Solid Rock writer Shane Howard. The conversation quickly moved into a request for Casey to perform the song during their set. The collaboration went viral on Casey’s platforms with over 150,000 views
“Solid Rock has always been one of my favourite songs since I was a kid.” Barnes reflects after performing the song with Howard.
“After he invited me to perform it with him at Mundi Mundi Bash we decided to record a special live version of it at the Gympie Muster, it had an incredible response… so with Shanes blessing we decided to release it”
For the fans who missed the performance at this years’ Gympie Muster, the cover was filmed live in front of the festival audience capturing the raw unforgettable moments from the set.
Will Casey perform Solid Rock on the remainder of his headline tour across Australia? You’ll just have to go to find out! Catch Casey all across Australia supporting his fifth studio album ‘Mayday’ including festival appearances at Ridin’ Hearts in Sydney and Melbourne.
