LANE PITTMAN – BIO 2024
From the Country Music Capital of Australia, Tamworth, Lane Pittman has made 2024 a statement year. Thriving off his 2023 achievements Lane received his first Golden Guitar nomination in January, a positive start to a snowball of a year.
A week prior to performing in front of thousands at this year’s CMC Rocks Festival, Pittman released his debut self-titled EP. The reception from new fans across the country catapulted his EP to #1 in the ARIA Australian Country Album Chart, as well as charting at #8 in the Australian Album Chart and #14 in the Overall Country Album Chart. Singles from the EP, Let’s Get Lost, Love In A Country Town and Ain’t Too Much To Ask all made their mark on Australian Country Radio by entering the top 10 of the air play charts. However, recent single Going Nowhere Fast has had a strangle hold of the #1 spot for three weeks.
Lane and his live band have been flourishing on the road playing headline shows and festivals alike. They took the EP on their first headline tour across East Coast Australia this May/June. Selling out six of eight venues on the run. The festival stages continue to get bigger and the set times are starting to get later. Lane has been moving crowds at festivals such as Gympie Music Muster, Savannah in the Round, Tamworth Country Music Festival, on top of CMC Rocks and Meatstock, who have both announced Lane as a part of their 2025 festivals.
However, the news of Lane once again supporting Luke Combs on his January/February 2025 Australia/New Zealand stadium tour has been the cherry on top of an impactful year. Lane supported Luke on his 2023 AUS/NZ arena tour, he was recognised by the international artist after a post of Lane covering a song went viral. The pair have grown their relationship since and are eager to perform in front of hundreds of thousands early next year.
Lanes following continues to rise with each live show and music release. His catalogue has amassed over 7 million streams and his social audience has grown to over 100K. Lane will admit his career is still very young and will continue to evolve as he peruses every goal. Experimenting in the studio and writing sessions, Lane Pittman’s next body of work is sure to take him to new heights.
Lane Pittman “Amen For The Weekend”
That sweet feeling on a Friday afternoon when all the work is done, and the weekend is here. The first release from Lane Pittman since his number #1 Australian Country debut EP in March this year. “Amen For The Weekend” is the enlightenment we need when the world around us starts to feel like it’s falling apart. It’s the friendly, upbeat reminder that it’ll all work out.
Drawing on inspiration from the new era of Country music and the likes of Shaboozey and Morgan Wallen, “Amen For The Weekend” was produced and co-written by Grammy Nominated producer Imad Royal (Doja Cat, Panic! At The Disco), alongside Blaise Railey and Sean Kennedy. Filled with boot stomping, hand clapping rhythms and a chorus destined to be stuck in your head for days.
Lane is excited by the evolution of his sound, stating that: it’s a departure from anything we’ve done so far. Once I got into the studio and put my vocals on it, that completely changed! The production by Imad Royal is something special and definitely a new sound my listeners haven’t heard from me. Amen has so much energy in it, so I’m excited to play it live and really get the crowd involved!
Fans will have the opportunity to hear it live now as Lane has been announced as Luke Combs’ support for when he returns to Australia and New Zealand for his 2025 headline stadium tour. This is off the back of already supporting Luke in 2023 on his headline arena tour. Woven into the tour is a quick stop at Tamworth Country Music Festival, where Lane and his band will be making their Longyard Hotel debut.
This follows an already packed 2024 touring schedule playing some of the country’s biggest festivals: CMC Rocks, Meatstock, Gympie Muster, Perth Muster, Savannah in the Round and BigSound. Not to mention playing spotlight performances at Nashville’s CMA Fest and
recently supporting Riley Green (US) on his x2 Fortitude Music Hall, Brisbane shows. 2024 has also seen Lane Pittman release his debut self-titled EP, entering in at #1 in the ARIA Australian Country Album Chart. The success continued by selling out venues across QLD, NSW and Melbourne on his first headline run.
